NASCAR at Dover 2024: Odds, TV times, standings, lineups and more

DOVER, Del. — Miles the Monster and millions of NASCAR fans are ready for some racing this weekend in the concrete beast that is Dover Motor Speedway.

Here are the odds, TV and radio times, standings, lineups and more for the upcoming NASCAR weekend in Dover:

NASCAR Cup Series Wurth 400

Note: Corey Heim will fill in for Erik Jones as Jones is sidelined with a back injury.

The biggest notable on the entry list is Jimmie Johnson. Johnson is back in the No. 84 Legacy Motor Club Toyota after skipping Talladega Superspeedway.

Johnson last raced at Texas Motor Speedway. He finished 29th on the lead lap after spinning in stage one.

Johnson is the all-time wins leader at Dover. He has 11 wins, 18 Top-5 finishes, 27 Top-10s and five poles in 38 starts. He has also led 21% of the laps he’s completed and just two DNFs – in his third and fifth starts – at the track.

Kaz Grala and AJ Allmendinger are back in the NASCAR Cup Series this weekend, racing the No. 15 Rick Ware Racing Ford and No. 16 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet respectively.

Grala became playoff-ineligible when RWR replaced him with Cody Ware last weekend at Talladega Superspeedway. Ware finished 24th.

Allmendinger is back in the Cup Series for the first time in five weeks. He last raced in the series at Circuit of the Americas where he finished sixth.

Allmendinger has two other starts. He finished sixth after leading nine laps in the Daytona 500 and 23rd at Bristol.

NASCAR Cup Series Odds-On Favorites for Dover

Here are the odds from Draftkings:

  • Kyle Larson: +400
  • William Byron: +600
  • Martin Truex Jr./Denny Hamlin: +650
  • Ryan Blaney/Ross Chastain: +900
  • Kyle Busch: +1200
  • Tyler Reddick/Chase Elliott/Alex Bowman: +1400

William Byron has led the most laps – 221 – among active drivers who are winless at Dover. He led 193 laps last year before he faded to fourth when the sun came out (Byron has finished fourth in three of the last four Dover races).

Martin Truex Jr. leads all active drivers with four wins at Dover (Spring 2007, ’19 and ’23, Fall ’16).

Kyle Busch is close behind with three Dover wins (Spring 2008 and ’10, Fall ’17). Chase Elliott has two wins (Fall 2018, ’22).

These drivers each have one Dover win:

  • Denny Hamlin (Fall 2020)
  • Alex Bowman (2021)
  • Brad Keselowski (Fall 2012)
  • Kyle Larson (Fall 2019)

Keselowski is at +2200, +600 and +275, coming off two runner-up finishes in a row. Busch is stacked at +1900, +550 and +250 – the same as Talladega winner Tyler Reddick.

Jimmie Johnson is stacked at +10000 to win, +2200 for a Top-3 finish and +1200 for a Top-5. Corey Heim is at +10000, +2500 and +1400.

Corey Heim will pull double duty this weekend, driving for Sam Hunt Racing a day before his Cup Series debut.

JJ Yeley will drive for Joey Gase Motorsports while Chad Finchum is back with MBM. Kaden Honeycutt will race for DGM Racing while Carson Kvapil is back after a stellar debut.

Ryan Truex is back to defend his win at Dover, this time in the No. 20 car. Taylor Gray will try to wheel the No. 19 car to its second-straight win at Dover.

Truex is one of three past Dover NXS winners in the field. Justin Allgaier has two wins in 23 starts (Spring 2018, Fall 2020) while Cole Custer won in Fall 2019 – his sixth of seven Dover starts to date.
