NASCAR Bristol Night Race 2024: Odds, TV/radio times and more info

BRISTOL, Tenn. — Eliminations are upon us for four NASCAR Cup Series drivers and many more NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.
The Round of 16 will come to an end in the Cup Series this Saturday night at Bristol. Meanwhile, the Xfinity Series regular season will end this Friday night at the “Last Great Colosseum.”
Tensions are just as high in the ARCA Menards Series East where Connor Zilisch leads the points by just 16 over William Sawalich ahead of a race that usually boasts around a 30-car field each year. Any calamity could cost Zilisch a title.
For the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, it’s an opportunity for one of the 10 playoff drivers to lock themselves into the next round and/or put themselves in a better spot for it.
NASCAR Cup Series’ Bass Pro Shops Night Race

- Saturday at 7:30 p.m. (all times Eastern)
- 500 laps (stages end on laps 125/250/500)

There is one open team on the entry list this weekend. It’s the No. 66 PowerSource Ford that MBM Motorsports is fielding for Josh Bilicki.
In the revolving No. 15 Rick Ware Racing and No. 16 Kaulig Racing entries are Kaz Grala and A.J. Allmendinger, respectively.
Grala signed with RWR for 26 races this year. So far, he has run 17 points races, the NASCAR All-Star Race and attempted the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum. Saturday night at Bristol will mark his 20th race this season.

NASCAR Xfinity Series’ Food City 300

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is back for his annual Xfinity Series appearance. Since retiring from the Cup Series in 2017, Earnhardt has four Top-5 finishes in seven races. In this race last year, Earnhardt led 47 laps and contended for the win until ignition issues and a fire took him out after 271 of 300 laps.
A few weeks later, he finished fifth at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Earnhardt will wear the owner hat under his helmet. His drivers, Sammy Smith and Brandon Jones, are trying to get into the playoffs but are at odds with each other. Smith is +43 points to Ryan Sieg for the final playoff spot and just needs a disaster-free race without a new, playoff-eligible winner.
But teammate Brandon Jones needs a win to get in. Jones is 148 points behind Smith, largely due to 10 finishes of 22nd or worse, including a three-race stretch when he scored a grand total of three points.
Jones’ record at Bristol is much better. Excluding a mechanical DNF last year, he has Top-10s in the last four races, including a second-place finish two years ago.
Smith started sixth the last two years at Bristol, finishing ninth and 14th.
Other entries include Jeffrey Earnhardt with Sam Hunt Racing. Joe Graf Jr. and Ryan Truex are in the revolving Joe Gibbs Racing Toyotas.
Logan Bearden, who has shown strength on short tracks, will get a shot with AM Racing.
As TRE reported earlier this year, Austin Green will make his oval debut this weekend in the No. 32 Jordan Anderson Racing entry.
Odds for NASCAR Xfinity Series’ 2024 Food City 300 at Bristol
Justin Allgaier is the odds-on favorite at +250. Last year, Allgaier won at Bristol for the first time in 13 years, five months and 26 days (March 2010).
Cole Custer and Chandler Smith share the honor of the No. 2 odds-on favorite. Then, Sheldon Creed and Sam Mayer have the same odds, just ahead of Dale Earnhardt Jr.:
- Justin Allgaier: +250
- Cole Custer, Chandler Smith +400
- Sheldon Creed, Sam Mayer +700
- Dale Earnhardt Jr.: +1000
- A.J. Allmendinger +1400
- Austin Hill +1600
- Sammy Smith, Riley Herbst, Jesse Love, Brandon Jones +2200
- Ryan Sieg, Parker Kligerman +5000
- Joe Graf Jr. +8000
- Shane van Gisbergen +15000
- Parker Retzlaff, Matt DiBenedetto +25000
- Josh Williams, Anthony Alfredo +30000
- Jeremy Clements, Jeffrey Earnhardt, Jeb Burton +35000
- Kyle Weatherman, Kyle Sieg, Austin Green +50000
- Ryan Ellis, Logan Bearden, Leland Honeyman Jr., Josh Bilicki, Greg van Alst, Garrett Smithley, Dawson Cram, Chad Finchum, Brennan Poole, Blaine Perkins, Carson Ware +100000
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series’ UNOH 200

- Thursday at 8 p.m.
- 200 laps (stages end on laps 55/110/200)
- Practice and qualifying: Thursday at 3 p.m.
ARCA stars William Sawalich and Connor Zilisch are back to race together in the Craftsman Truck Series this weekend with TRICON Garage and Spire Motorsports, respectively.
Young gun Corey Day will make his Craftsman Truck Series debut in the No. 81 Hilgemann-McAnally Racing entry. Day has backing from HendrickCars.com and will race in the Truck race after racing in ARCA earlier in the day Thursday.
Connor Mosack is in the No. 41 entry that Bayley Currey has driven this season. Kaden Honeycutt is back in the No. 45 entry and will be one to watch.
Marco Andretti is also back with Roper Racing.
Christian Eckes leads the playoff field after nearly getting a win at The Milwaukee Mile. If he can maintain his 60-point cushion to the cutline, and 58-point cushion to the first driver above the cutline, he will race in the second round. Either way, Eckes looks good for the next round, especially as the winner in the spring at Bristol.
