NASCAR Championship odds: Charlotte 2026
All three premier touring NASCAR series returns to the home of stock car racing in Charlotte, North Carolina to continue the Chase.
This year, the Charlotte Motor Speedway postseason race will see the ROVAL discontinued and the return of the 400-mile oval race in its place.

Previously in the Chase, two drivers rallied their poor championship odds by winning out in the desert.
Chase Briscoe won his first race of the Chase and his second of the season in a nail-biting finish in the NASCAR Cup Series.
Then, Corey Day also delivered his first Chase victory with his own nail-biter against Carson Kvapil in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.
Finally this week, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series returns to action after their final off-weekend of the season.
Cup Series Chase Standings

There were not many moves in the Chase from this past week at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Four positions were swapped, but the most crucial position of them all remained the same.
The championship leader Kyle Larson stayed on top of the Cup Series Chase standings at the midway point of the postseason. He entered the South Point Casino 400 with a 26-point lead over Denny Hamlin and left with an increased 40-point advantage.
The mid-Chase championship odds reflect the slight extension of his lead. Larson maintained his odds-on favorite position.
Better yet, every position inside the top five remained the same. The first change in the standings happened just outside in sixth.
Chase Briscoe effectively swapped positions with Ty Gibbs after his win gave him a tremendous points haul. He joins the top five drivers as the only competitors left within 100 points of Larson the leader and returns to a top six position in the odds.
Further down the order the final swap occurred. Daniel Suarez leaped Chris Buescher in 15th to establish himself as the 14th-placed Chase driver.
Buescher’s RFK Racing teammate, Ryan Preece, returns to the seed where the Connecticuter started the Chase at, in 16th.
Those three continue to fall in the odds whereas the middle of the group tightened below.

O’Reilly Series Chase Standings

It was Corey Day who captured his first victory of the Chase at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this past weekend. His third win on the season reignited his championship hopes as the driver of the Hendrick Motorsports No. 17 sits within a race of the lead from fifth.
Chase leader Sheldon Creed gained around ten points over second place despite his poor result in the desert. The newly announced Sam Hunt Racing driver will have a tall order to maintain his lead if his intermediate performance from last week continues into this weekend at Charlotte.
Carson Kvapil and Jesse Love both slide up one position in the standings. But, its Justin Allgaier who remains tied with the best odds with the Chase leader to win the title this season.
Sam Mayer is the final driver to be within a single race points-wise of the Chase lead from sixth. Then, the next three drivers sit just outside of a race and continue to remain hopeful in their championship aspirations.
Finally, Parker Retzlaff, Brandon Jones, and Rajah Caruth are all but mathematically out of the running.
The odds below reflect that sentiment and more.

Truck Series Chase Standings

Kaden Honeycutt is fresh off of the bye week as the most recent winner in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Honeycutt dominated the segmented Kansas Speedway event two weeks ago and looks to pick up right where he left off from the intermediate with a victory.
His 37-point lead over Layne Riggs would have been around half that if the regular season champion settled for second rather than outrunning his equipment vying for the win.
Now, Riggs has an uphill battle in order to reclaim the Chase lead. The good news for him is he enters Charlotte Motor Speedway as its most recent winner in the spring.
The driver of the No. 34 Ford still has time to mount a fight against Honeycutt and can start that climb off right this Friday.
Besides those two, two other drivers are within a single race of the Chase lead. Chandler Smith remains in the seed where he started the Chase in from third and Gio Ruggiero from fourth each sit above the 75-point threshold and are outside favorites to challenge for the championship still.
From there, the rest of the Chase drivers need to lock-in in order to realistically contend for the title.
Overall, the odds below reflect how close and how far the Truck Series Chase drivers are from a championship with five races to go in the 2026 season.
