NASCAR Championship Odds: Talladega 2026
Here are the updated Chase standings and odds for all three NASCAR series’ as they head to the final superspeedway race of the season at Talladega.
Last weekend at Phoenix, Tyler Reddick won for the first time in six months for a series-best sixth win of the season.
Jesse Love defended his fall Phoenix Raceway win from a season ago and remained atop of the Chase standings.
Finally, Kaden Honeycutt returned the favor to Layne Riggs and won to reextend his points gap over him.
Now, each series will make their last trips down to Alabama for what could be the most unpredictable Chase race yet.

Cup Series Chase Standings

For the NASCAR Cup Series, Phoenix might just be more volatile than Talladega could be.
Kyle Larson remained as the Chase leader despite his abnormally terrible day in Phoenix. His point lead diminished by a whopping 44 total points in his three-point DNF race out West.
Though it is not Denny Hamlin who occupies the runners-up slot anymore. That distinction belongs to his teammate Christopher Bell. Bell had a top five day all-around which was good enough to bring him five points behind Larson with three races remaining.
Both of their odds have been changed to reflect the tighter margin. Then, Chase Briscoe slid up to third in the Chase and tied on odds with Denny Hamlin. Hamlin had the opportunity to leave last weekend with the Chase lead. But a flat right-front tire trapped him a lap down and he failed to recover.
Tyler Reddick’s victory and top ten performances by the Team Penske duo of Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney each keep them within one race of the Chase lead for what should be an epic conclusion to the Chase.
Elsewhere, much of the odds did not shift from eighth-placed Austin Cindric on down. While not mathematically out of contention for the title just yet, many of those drivers have already shifted focus to 2027.

O’Reilly Series Chase Standings

The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series entered the Phoenix weekend as the most bunched together Chase of them all.
While the Cup Series created chaos, much of the O’Reilly Series were able to separate the contenders from the pretenders.
Jesse Love reclaimed his top spot out in Phoenix as he successfully defended his fall win from 2026. This is Love’s first time as the championship leader since his win and his odds spiked as the odds-on title favorite as he enters his best track of Talladega.
Justin Allgaier returned to the second Chase position after a week’s absence from the position. He was the only driver within the top few who were within a race distance of the lead to gain on the overall Chase lead.
Allgaier gained four points on the lead and his gain can be reflected below in the odds as well.
Corey Day remained in third in the Chase after he was unable to contain Love. Then, Sheldon Creed relinquished his championship lead after suffering a battery issue during the first stage which rendered him to a poor result.
With how successful of a night Love, Allgaier and more had, He lost nearly 60 points to the lead.
The first five positions in the Chase were the most volatile in points and the odds below.
Meanwhile, the back half of the Chase contenders have not changed since Charlotte as many of those teams have an outside chance to reclaim a spot within a single race distance from the lead.

Truck Series Chase Standings

In a Chase that had already saw the cream rise to the top prior to Phoenix, afterwards its only separated the leading duo further from the rest.
It’s been a back-and-forth affair between Kaden Honeycutt and Layne Riggs. This time, it was Honeycutt who delivered the return blow to Riggs in his victory at Phoenix. In the win, he reextended his Chase lead to over 30 points.
Honeycutt’s odds mirrored his point increase over Riggs. Then, Christian Eckes continues to gain positions in the Chase after a rough start. He is up to third after Chandler Smith’s poor outing last weekend.
Elsewhere in the Chase, not much has changed odds-wise. But, there is still plenty of movement in the lower half of the top ten.
Ty Majeski jumped two positions up to fifth place. Then, Daniel Hemric, Gio Ruggiero, and Ben Rhodes each lost a position while Grant Enfinger gained just the one over Rhodes for eighth.
Now, the series travels to Talladega for the most unpredictable race of their seven-race Chase.
The overall odds have not spread as far out as the other two series. However, a few drivers can be mathematically out of championship contention after their superspeedway day.
