NASCAR: Kyle Larson ties Kurt Busch, Martin Truex Jr. on wins list
With his victory Sunday in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway, Kyle Larson tied two of his former competitors and fellow Cup Series champions Kurt Busch and Martin Truex Jr. on the NASCAR Cup Series all-time wins list.
All three drivers have 34 career wins in NASCAR’s top series, good for a tie at 26th all-time.
Larson led 235 of the 267 laps, scoring a perfect race with the opening two stage wins and the fastest lap of the race en route to his second win of 2026.
“Man, what a day. I thought we’d have a good shot,” Larson said to USA Network post race. “I didn’t think that we would have a max points type of day, so I’m just thrilled.”
After the race, Larson reflected on the achievement and how close he is to cracking the top-25 of all-time.
“Yeah, no, that’s really, really special” Larson told Ryan Kemna of the TheRacingExperts.
“That’s not something I pay attention to at this point in my career. I’m sure at the end I’ll pay more attention to who is around me, but those are two champions that I’ve gotten to compete against and have had lots of great battles and wins against them, losses against them.”
“Yeah, it means a lot. Just try to keep clicking them off” Larson concluded.
Ahead of the trio is Brad Keselowski at 36 wins. Beyond him is Bobby Isaac (37), Tim Flock (39), and Matt Kenseth (39).
