NASCAR reveals opening odds for 2024 Daytona 500
The first points-awarding NASCAR Cup Series race of 2024, the Daytona 500, is still over two months away.
Yet, it is never too early to start thinking of who the odds-on favorites are for The Great American Race.
NASCAR revealed the opening odds for 33 drivers on Wednesday (Dec. 6) for the Daytona 500.
Defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney is the favorite to win his first Daytona 500. His opening odds stand at 9-1.
Following Blaney — each at 11-1 — are Chris Buescher, Chase Elliott and Brad Keselowski.
William Byron and three-time Daytona 500 champion Denny Hamlin have the next-best opening odds at 12-1.
2023 Daytona 500 winner Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is listed at 20-1.
With 40-1 odds, Michael McDowell, the 2021 winner, has the highest opening odds of any past Daytona 500 champion slated to race.
Rookie Zane Smith has the highest odds at 100-1.
The 2024 Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024 on FOX.
