NASCAR to let fans in free for Busch Light Clash heat races
LOS ANGELES — NASCAR announced fans will get in free the Saturday of the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum weekend.

Ben Kennedy, NASCAR’s Senior Vice President of Racing Development and Strategy, announced this on social media Thursday. It came in response to backlash from fans after a report indicated NASCAR wouldn’t let fans in Saturday.
Saturday will feature practice, qualifying and all four heat races for the NASCAR Cup Series’ Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum. It will also feature practice and qualifying for the NASCAR Mexico Series.
“NASCAR wasn’t initially planning to open the gates to Saturday’s preliminary activities but reversed course after listening to feedback from fans,” Kennedy said.

Here is the full calendar of events for Saturday:
- NASCAR Mexico Series practices (10:15-11 a.m., 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. PT) and qualifying (1:30 p.m.)
- NASCAR Cup Series Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum practice and qualifying (3-5 p.m.) and all four heat races (starting at 5:30 p.m.)
And Sunday:
- NASCAR Mexico Series’ King Taco La Batalla en El Coliseo (150 laps) – 1:30 p.m.
- Busch Light Clash Last Chance Qualifier (75 laps) – 3:40 p.m.
- NASCAR Cup Series’ Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum (150 laps) – 5 p.m.
Dillon Francis will perform a concert before the Clash, while Machine Gun Kelly will perform midrace.
