NASCAR will run Atlanta, Homestead races without fans

The next two NASCAR race weekends will run without fans, the sanctioning body announced Thursday (March 12), in wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
“At this time, NASCAR will hold its race events at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway without fans in attendance,” NASCAR said in a statement.

“These events will be restricted to competitors, crews, officials and other necessary personnel to conduct the race. We will work with public health officials as we determine future scheduling beyond these events.”
The Atlanta race weekend (March 14-15) and Homestead-Miami race weekend (March 20-22) are triple-header weekends for the three national touring series.
Additionally, Various teams have announced their shops and gift stores will remain closed to the public until further notice, including Leavine Family Racing and Stewart-Haas Racing.
