“I appreciated the opportunity to work with Our Motorsports and to compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season,” Wright said.  “While I’m stepping away from the No. 5 car, I’m excited for what lies ahead and thankful for all I’ve learned during my time in the Xfinity Series.”

Kaz Grala will drive the No. 5 Chevrolet at Dover Motor Speedway. Our Motorsports didn’t confirm who will drive the car beyond Dover.

In 2025, Kris Wright moved from the ARCA Menards Series to the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Although Wright has a top-10 finish this season – ninth at Martinsville in March – he has struggled in the first 19 races. Wright had 15 finishes of 24th or worse, an average finish of 27.4 and failed to qualify for the race in Chicago.

Wright said he “will be exploring new opportunities within motorsports.” He will announce future plans and other updates on his social media channels.
