New NASCAR team to debut with Maggio at Daytona
A new NASCAR team will make its debut with Mason Maggio in the Craftsman Truck Series season opener at Daytona.
Maggio will drive the No. 21 entry for Floridian Motorsports with East Coast Lumber and Supply Company on the white hood of the tri-color Toyota Tundra.

Multiple Ace Hardware locations and LT Delivery will also sponsor the new entry Maggio will drive.
“Super excited to be heading to Daytona next weekend with the newly found Floridian Motorsports,” Maggio said. “Crazy to think Mr. Osteen brought this idea to me at the beginning of the month. Now we’re going to attempt to qualify for the biggest race of the year!”
Floridian Motorsports owner Robert S. Osteen on January 9 filed for the team’s LLC. The filing shows the team is based in Jupiter, Fla.
Six days after the filing, the organization unveiled their logo and began posting on social media about the work they were doing in their Statesville, N.C., shop.

Maggio made four NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts in 2022 and six starts last year. His best finish was 20th at Nashville Superspeedway last June.
In the Truck Series season opener, set for February 16, Maggio will not only make his first start at Daytona but also his first start on a track over 1.5 miles.
The Fresh From Florida 250 at Daytona goes green Feb. 16 just after 7:30 p.m. ET (TV: FS1; Radio: MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio)
