NTT INDYCAR Series: Legge, Liveries, and more in INDY 500 buildup
The month of May officially starts this Friday and with open testing underway, here are some of the recent NTT INDYCAR Series storylines and showcases heading into our favorite month of racing.

Kathrine Legge Finds a Ride
Kathrine Legge will join the grid as the 33rd entry in attempt of her fifth Indianapolis 500 start, her first since 2024 after skipping last years running.
She will pilot the No. 11 e.l.f Cosmetics entry back by HMD Motorsports as they partner with AJ Foyt Racing for the legendary event.
In the INDY NXT by Firestone series, the two organizations act as technical partners and the two to broaden their relationship as they head into the 110th running.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for HMD Motorsports and an incredibly proud moment for everyone involved with our organization,” said HMD Motorsports President Mike Maurini.
“We have worked hard to establish HMD as a leader in driver development, and to now be part of an Indianapolis 500 program alongside AJ Foyt Racing and Katherine Legge is something very special. Katherine brings a wealth of experience.”
“We’ve already seen what this partnership can do on the INDY NXT side with the speed, poles, and race wins we’ve earned this season,” said AJ Foyt Racing President Larry Foyt.
“HMD Motorsports has built an outstanding reputation, and having them involved with this Indianapolis 500 effort adds another layer of depth to our program. Katherine is a talented and determined racer, and we’re excited to work together to bring this effort to life on the sport’s biggest stage.”
Legge will have to complete her refresher program during the open practice sessions but will undoubtably pass due to her past experience.
Once passed, the pairing looks poised to make the show as the optics of a true bump day hangs in the balance of an unexpectant late entrant.
A New Partnership
Indianapolis 500 regulars Dreyer & Reinbold Racing will provide sponsorship from Wedbush and oval expertise in their team up with Juncos Hollinger Racing as they combine to enter the No. 76 of Rinus VeeKay into the 110th running.
VeeKay, 25, is in the beginning of his first season with JHR and will relish the opportunity to return to the front of the starting grid again and improve upon his best finish of eighth with this new technical alliance.
“We’re very excited to announce our co-entry with JHR, which includes our long-time partner Wedbush being the primary partner on the 76 car,” DRR team owner Dennis Reinbold said.
“The Indianapolis 500 is the biggest stage of the year, bringing together audience, attention and atmosphere in a way only this event can,” said Dave O’Neill, JHR team principal.
“For Wedbush, it’s an opportunity to be part of this unique occasion while engaging at scale through one of the most visible platforms in the sport. We’re focused on delivering a strong result and look forward to having Wedbush along for the campaign.”
DRR also enters a fan favorite duo in the No. 23 of Conor Daly and No. 24 of Jack Harvey. All three entrants new 2026 Indianapolis 500 liveries can be seen below.
