One-on-one with Joey Logano
Joey Logano recently spoke one-on-one with The Racing Experts about his title run in 2018; a season that netted three wins and his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series title.
Besides winning the championship, what will be some other favorite memories of 2018?
“Martinsville and Miami. Those are the two highlights to me of the season and really the two most important to win and we were able to accomplish that.
“The moments of winning is one thing, but the moments afterwards you celebrate with the team is probably the most important part for me, to see the excitement on them.”
Has it sunk in completely yet that you are a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion?
“To me that’s something that’s just special to me. I’ve worked my whole life for it. And to hear my race team and how excited how they were, and to hear their stories on how long they worked to get to it as well, it’s a night we’re going to look upon.”
Talk about how much your life has changed this year professionally and personally.
“My life this year has done a complete 180. With the birth of our first son, obviously that was a big change, and then to be able to cap it off with a championship this season, what an amazing year.
“We have a lot to be grateful for, and we can’t really put it into words how we feel about it but we’re going to enjoy it because you never know when this ends.”
