O’Reilly Series: JRM starts 1-2-3 with Kvapil on Martinsville Pole
MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Carson Kvapil will start from the pole in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series from Martinsville for the National Debt Relief 250.
This is his third pole of the season and of his O’Reilly Series career.

Kvapil cut his teeth in short track racing on his way up to JR Motorsports and shows his pedigree with his pole. Not only is it his raw ability, its JRM’s speed at the paperclip that has been great.
The top three are all JRM Chevrolet’s as Rajah Caruth starts alongside Kvapil on the front row from second and title hopeful Justin Allgaier just behind him in third.
Parker Retzlaff gained nearly half a second on his second lap to surge to fourth in the session to start on the second row with Allgaier.
William Sawalich is the highest qualifying Toyota from fifth. He will share the third row with last week’s winner Sammy Smith who is also running double-duty in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this weekend.
Like Retzlaff, Sheldon Creed also gained considerable time on his second lap. But he will start three positions lower from seventh.
Jesse Love enters Martinsville as the current Chase leader. For him, the short track has been a trick. He will start inside the top ten from eighth looking for a treat of a race tomorrow night on Halloween.
Corey Day will start ninth as he has a great chance to continue to gain on Love from third in the Chase with a 29-point deficit.
Finally, Taylor Gray rounds out the top ten from the fifth row in tenth place for the race.
Notable Starters
Nine of the top ten starters comprise of Chase drivers. Brandon Jones will start 12th as the best of the rest in the Chase to miss out on the top positions.
Sam Mayer still has a mathematical chance at the series championship and will start from 14th. Finally, Austin Hill rounds out the Chase drivers in the field from 21st.
Justin Carroll will make his first series start with Joey Gase Motorsports in the No. 35 entry. He’ll roll off 30th for his second race of the weekend.
Then, Baltazar Leguizamon makes his oval debut for Young’s Motorsports in the No. 42 as the Argentinian rounds out the full 38-car field.
