Our Motorsports to cease NASCAR operations after Dover

DOVER, Del. — Our Motorsports will reportedly cease operations in the NASCAR Xfinity Series after the July 19 race at Dover Motor Speedway.

The team reportedly released a statement thanking “NASCAR, Chevrolet, the fans, employees, and drivers, for a good ride over the last six years.”

Earlier this week, Kris Wright confirmed to TRE he parted ways with the team Tuesday, three days after the July 12 race at Sonoma Raceway.

TRE has repeatedly reached out to Our Motorsports on parting ways with Wright and on previous rumors about their closure. Our hasn’t responded back.

Our Motorsports debuted in the 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway with Brett Moffitt. Moffitt scored seven top-10 finishes in 29 races, including a fifth-place finish at Talladega in June. Later that year, Andy Lally also scored a pair of top fives at Road America and the Daytona road course.

In 2021, Moffitt returned for 31 races, starting with a second-place finish and a Stage 2 win at Daytona. While Moffitt opted to run for Xfinity Series points too late in the season to make a playoff run, he improved his average finish and helped Our progress forward.

As 2022 rolled around, the team expand to three cars with Moffitt, Anthony Alfredo and Jeb Burton. While all three of them showed decent performance, the cracks started to show as the team parted ways with Moffitt due to funding issues.

By 2023, the team downsized to one car which persisted into 2024 as the team reunited with Alfredo. Alfredo had a solid 2024 season and brought the team back to its 2022 playoff-contending performance but the team parted ways with him, in favor of Kris Wright in 2025.
