STATESVILLE, N.C. — Parker Retzlaff confirmed Thursday that he will not return to Jordan Anderson Racing’s NASCAR Xfinity Series team in 2025.

Retzlaff posted a statement on social media thanking team owners Jordan Anderson and John Bommarito, as well as his team, for their support.

“I can’t thank Jordan Anderson and John Bommarito enough for giving me my first full-time opportunity to race in the Xfinity Series and for allowing me to chase my dream,” Retzlaff said. “As I close this chapter in my book, I am so grateful to have had such a supportive team behind me.”

Retzlaff burst onto the NASCAR scene with RSS Racing in early 2022. He started sixth and 10th in his first two Xfinity Series starts – at Phoenix Raceway in March and Richmond Raceway in April – securing his first Top-10 finish, a 10th-place finish, at Richmond.

Retzlaff went on to earn two Top-12 finishes in the next three races before transitioning to Our Motorsports for four races with sponsor FUNKAWAY.

FUNKAWAY followed Retzlaff to Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport in 2023. Retzlaff earned a Top-5 finish and seven Top-10s with an average finish of 17.9.

Retzlaff started this past season hot. He finished third and fifth in the first two races and amassed four Top-10 finishes in the first 13 races. At Richmond in March, he led 27 laps after earning Jordan Anderson Racing’s first NXS pole.

As the summer hit, however, his struggles began with a DNF for electrical issues at Iowa Speedway. This was the first of eight finishes of 26th or worse in the 12-race stretch to the playoffs.

The playoff races weren’t much better. Retzlaff had three DNFs in the final seven races, including at Martinsville Speedway. After winning the pole and leading 20 laps, a bump sent him into the outside wall. He finished out of the race after 53 laps.

Retzlaff finished 2024 with two Top-5 finishes, four Top-10s and an average finish of 23.5. He also finished seventh in the NASCAR Cup Series at Daytona in August.

It is unknown where Retzlaff will go in 2025.
