Penske power sweeps NASCAR Cup Series qualifying at Atlanta
HAMPTON, Ga. — Team Penske and its affiliates pulled off a sweep of qualifying for the NASCAR Cup Series’ Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Ryan Blaney and Austin Cindric took the top two spots directly for the Captain, Roger Penske, while Joey Logano sandwiched quasi-teammate Josh Berry and the Wood Brothers in between them. Berry will start third and Logano will start fourth.
Last season, Ford had a streak of poles last season on drafting tracks that, with Blaney’s pole, picked up after Chase Briscoe won the pole for this year’s Daytona 500. In fact, Ford took 10 of the top-11 spots. Kyle Busch qualified his Chevrolet in sixth while Bubba Wallace qualified his Toyota in 14th.
