Timothy Peters will attempt to qualify for his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway with Ricky Benton Racing next week, the team confirmed to The Racing Experts Wednesday.
Talladega will mark Petersโ first attempt at a Cup Series race, driving the No. 92 Ford. The team said Advance Auto Parts will be the primary sponsor for the ride.

The team plans on utilizing the same racecar David Gilliland drove to a 14th-place effort in the 2018 Daytona 500.

Ricky Benton Racing is in its first year of part-time competition in NASCARโs premier series. If the team makes the race, it will mark the organizationโs second start in the series.
Qualifying for the Geico 500 will be held on Saturday, April 28.
