President Donald Trump to attend Daytona 500
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — President Donald Trump will be in attendance for Sunday’s Daytona 500, TRE has learned.
TRE has learned President Trump will arrive in time for pre-race ceremonies and will stay to watch the first part of the race before returning to his Mar-a-Lago residence for his usual weekend stay.
Trump’s visit this year will mark the first time a sitting president will attend the Daytona 500 in a non-election year. Trump previously attended the Daytona 500 as a sitting president in 2020, while former President George W. Bush attended in 2004.
Last year, Trump also attended the Coca-Cola 600 while on the campaign trail.
