Rajah Caruth to return to Hendrick in NASCAR Xfinity race at Kansas
CONCORD, N.C. — Hendrick Motorsports tabbed Rajah Caruth to race its No. 17 Chevrolet in the Sept. 27 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Kansas Speedway.

Kansas will mark Caruth’s second Xfinity Series start with Hendrick. His first start was at Phoenix Raceway in the 2023 season finale. He finished 14th after starting 13th.
“I feel extremely excited and thankful for the opportunity and for me, I think about how much I’ve grown since the last time I was fortunate enough to drive a race car out of this building,” Caruth told Hendrick Motorsports. “I believe my experience I’ve accumulated the last few years in the Truck Series, and my partial Xfinity stuff will put me right where I need to be to run up front and hopefully have a good race.”
Since then, Caruth has raced full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Spire Motorsports with support from HendrickCars.com. He won in just his second race with Spire – at Las Vegas in 2024 – and returned to victory lane at Nashville Superspeedway in 2025 to earn his second consecutive playoff berth.
Caruth sits 14 points above the Truck playoff cutline as an elimination looms Saturday, Sept. 20, at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. If he can advance in the Truck playoffs, he’ll get a week off to run for Hendrick in the Xfinity Series before the playoffs resume Oct. 3 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval road course.
