Stenhouse began driving for JTGD in 2020. The new extension will see him continue driving duties through 2025 and beyond. The organization did not disclose the exact terms of the deal.

This comes a little over a week after Sports Business Journal’s Adam Stern reported Kroger could be on the move. Sources told Stern that Kroger could be “switching to a new team in 2025” with Joe Gibbs Racing as a possible destination for the sponsor and co-owner Tad Geshickter.

The release issued Thursday made no mention of sponsorship or Geshickter.

Stenhouse and JTGD won the Daytona 500 last year, earning the second playoff berth for himself and JTGD.

In addition to the win and playoff berth last year, Stenhouse has earned 8 Top-5 finishes, 22 Top-10s and the Daytona 500 pole in 2020. He has earned at least four Top-10s each full season (excluding 2021), including and organization and driver-high nine Top-10s last year.

Stenhouse previously earned two wins and three poles as well as a playoff berth, 15 Top-5s and 34 Top-10s in seven seasons with Roush-Fenway Racing (now RFK Racing).

Stenhouse also won the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship for Roush in 2011 and 2012. He earned NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year honors in 2013.
