Two races into the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season, Ryan Preece is off to his fastest start in his career.

It is the first time in his career that the JTG-Daugherty Racing driver has finished Top-10 in consecutive points-awarding races.

“I’m really proud of everyone at JTG Daugherty Racing for giving us a car that was fast and even with the damage from a late-race caution, we were able to hold our track position and get a second top-10 finish for the season,” Preece said.

After two events, Preece and his open team are seventh in driver’s points with a 39-point advantage to over the playoff cutline.

Preece is one of four drivers (Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, and Michael McDowell) to earn a Top-10 finish in each of the first two races.

“It’s been a great start so far,” Preece said. “We’re just going to keep digging forward next week at Homestead-Miami Speedway.”
