Shane van Gisbergen to lose 2 crew members for 2 races
Shane van Gisbergen will lose two crew members for the next two NASCAR Cup Series races after a wheel came detached Sunday at Martinsville Speedway.
Jackman Asian Pugh and rear tire changer Jonpatrik Kealey will sit out the races at Darlington Raceway and Bristol Motor Speedway. Jordan Ferguson and Kenyatta Houston will fill in for Pugh and Kealey, according to the NASCAR roster portal.
Van Gisbergen finished 34th, six laps down. He lost two of those laps due to the detached wheel, which happened in turn four on lap 276 of 400. He had pitted just before and received the free pass during the caution, 68 laps before.
