Taylor Gray earns Portland win after top two penalized
After further review, the top two leaders at the end of Saturday’s ARCA Menards Series West race at Portland were not the top two finishers.
Jake Drew and Eric Nascimento cross the start-finish line in first and second but each driver was penalized for cutting the course, giving the win to Taylor Gray.
ARCA officials moved Drew and Nascimento to the tail end of the lead lap – 12th and 13th respectively – as a penalty.
Gray earned his second win of the ARCA Menards Series West season as a result of the penalty.
