President Trump honors Truex at White House

WASHINGTON D.C.—U.S. President Donald J. Trump hosted reigning Cup Series champion Martin Truex Jr. and his team Monday afternoon at the White House in the nation’s capital.
“Your car looks truly amazing,” President Trump said, adding he would like to “drive away” in it.
The President opened with remarks welcoming other attendees, who included members of Congress, and congratulating Truex and his team on their 2017 championship.
Among the attendees at the South Lawn celebration were NASCAR President Brent Dewar, CEO and Chairman Brian France and Vice Chairman Mike Helton.

“What an opportunity to be here today,” Truex said.
Truex presented the Commander-in-Chief with a replica of his 2017 racing helmet.
