TV times, race reports, what to know: Chicago Street Course
CHICAGO — For the first time ever, NASCAR is racing in the heart of the third-largest city in the U.S.
The NASCAR Xfinity and Cup Series will take to the 2.2-mile Chicago Street Course this Saturday and Sunday.
It’s the first time either series has been in the metro since 2019 when Chicagoland Speedway hosted them and the Truck Series for the final time.
The Xfinity Series christened the course with practice and qualifying Saturday at 11 a.m. and noon ET (Broadcast: USA, Sirius XM NASCAR Radio, MRN).
The 55-lap The Loop 121 race went green just after 5 p.m. ET (Broadcast: USA, Sirius XM NASCAR Radio, MRN). Stages end on laps 15, 30 and 55.
Three cautions have flown on laps 6, 18 and 26 for Justin Marks leaking fluid on track, Andre Castro wrecking and lightning, respectively.

Practice for the Grant Park 220 NASCAR Cup Series race happened Saturday at 1:30 p.m. ET with qualifying at 2:30 (Broadcast: USA, Sirius XM NASCAR Radio, MRN).

The 100-lap race goes green Sunday just after 5:30 p.m. (Broadcast: NBC, Sirius XM NASCAR Radio, MRN). The stages will end on laps 20, 45 and 100.
