Ty Dillon not returning to Petty GMS in 2023
Ty Dillon will not pilot the No. 42 Chevrolet for Petty GMS Racing in 2023, the team announced Friday, July 15.
“Petty GMS and Ty Dillon have mutually agreed to part ways following the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season,” the team said in a statement. “We are appreciative of what Ty has done this year to help grow Petty GMS.”
Dillon has earned one Top-10 finish (10th at Bristol) this year and is ranked 27th in points.
