Ty Dillon to run 5 NASCAR Cup Series races for Kaulig
Kaulig Racing announced Monday that Ty Dillon will run five NASCAR Cup Series races in their No. 16 entry, starting this Sunday at Richmond Raceway.

Dillon will also race April 14 at Texas Motor Speedway, June 23 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, August 11 at Richmond again and September 29 at Kansas Speedway.
Dillon will become the fifth driver to drive the No. 16 car this season:

- Josh Williams – Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum, Atlanta
- A.J. Allmendinger – Daytona, Bristol
- Derek Kraus – Las Vegas, Phoenix
- Shane van Gisbergen – COTA
When rumors persisted in late 2023 about who would be in the No. 16 car this season, Dillon’s name came up as a candidate to take over the ride full-time. However, that never materialized.

Racing full-time in Spire Motorsports’ No. 77 Chevrolet last season, Ty Dillon finished last in points among the 32 drivers who completed every race. He also had the worst average finish (27.5) of any full-time driver and was the only one who didn’t score a top-10 finish.
Dillon now races full-time for Rackley W.A.R. in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Currently, he sits 19th in points, -41 points to the playoff cutline.
