William Byron moves to 61st on Cup Series wins list
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — William Byron’s victory in the 2024 Daytona 500 broke a five-way tie on the NASCAR Cup Series wins list to move the Hendrick Motorsports driver to 61st overall.

Byron’s win in the season-opening race is his first in the Daytona 500 and the 11th victory of his career, coming in his seventh full-time season.
“I never thought we were going to win,” Byron said of his race day. “I never thought that far ahead. I just thought, man, maybe weโll finish on the lead lap.
“Weโve never done that. It was honestly just starting small and the process and the things it takes to win.”
