William Byron succeeded in NASCAR Overtime, holding off Kevin Harvick to earn his third win of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season Sunday in the Goodyear 400.

Byron picked up his first Cup Series win at Darlington Raceway, leading just seven of the 295 total laps.

โ€œWe went out and put together a great day,โ€ Byron said. โ€œIt wasn’t going to be the day we hoped for, but that’s how it goes sometimes. That’s kind of what we said on the radio. We’re like, man, we surprised ourselves.โ€

The win was Byronโ€™s seventh of his career, tying him with Alex Bowman, Ryan Blaney and five others on the all-time wins list at 68th overall.
