“Hoping to be back soon, glad I am walking around, feeling better and better,” Jones said to FOX Sports during the telecast of the Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway.

Jones said he was feeling good and happy to support Corey Heim during his debut and fill-in for Jones.

“It’s been neat to see it from a different perspective.”

Prior to Dover, Jones had raced in 262 consecutive Cup Series races, dating back to the 2017 Daytona 500.

While Jones is out, Heim will fill in. There is no timetable for his return.
