A.J. Allmendinger ties Jeff Gordon, others on wins list
A.J. Allmendinger picked up his second NASCAR Xfinity Series win Saturday (Oct. 10th) and the fifth of his second-tier series career at the Charlotte Road Course.
Allmendinger is now tied for 63rd overall on the series’ wins list with Marcos Ambrose, Brett Bodine, Kurt Busch, Chase Elliott, Jeff Gordon, Bobby Hamilton Jr. and Sam Hornish Jr.
The next group of drivers ahead of Allmendinger — all with six wins in the series — include Geoff Bodine and 1989 series champion Rob Moroso.
The next scheduled race for the series is the Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway next Saturday, Oct. 17.
