RIDGEWAY, Va. — Nice Motorsports announced Saturday (March 23) at Martinsville Speedway that Angela Ruch will be signing on with the team for 12 races in 2019, with the first scheduled event being next weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.

“We are thrilled to welcome Angela Ruch into the Niece Motorsports family,” said team owner, Al Niece. “Angela’s had a strong start to the 2019 season, and we look forward to continuing that, starting in Texas.

“The team is excited to work with Angela and see what we can all accomplish together this year.”

Ruch appreciates the team owner for the “dream come true”.

“I have to thank Al for this opportunity; it has been a dream come true for me to be able to sign this deal and now to run with his team,” said Ruch. “He’s the only (armed forces) veteran team owner in NASCAR right now and I’m blessed to be a part of it with him. I’m super excited and looking forward to some great things.”

Ruch, who became the first female driver to lead laps in a NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race last month at Daytona International Speedway, has made two starts in 2019 with NEMCO Motorsports. She finished a career-best eighth in the season-opening race in Daytona Beach after just two starts.
