Brad Keselowski, RFK Racing ‘pushing and getting better’

Brad Keselowski’s fifth-place finish Sunday in the Dixie Vodka 400 earned the driver his highest finish of the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season.
Keselowski started ninth, finished inside the Top-10 in the first two stages, and earned his first Top-5 finish of the year.
“We weren’t in a spot to dominate the race but we were in a spot to run up front all day and that is what we did,” Keselowski said. “We are starting to gel and click as a team.”
In his first season assuming ownership and driving responsibilities at RFK Racing, Keselowski has finished inside the Top-10 just six times — which will be his lowest number of Top-10 finishes in any single season since 2010.
Yet, three of those Top-10 finishes have come in the last eight races, and Keselowski earned his first pole of the year at Texas Motor Speedway in September.
“It is exciting for RFK and I am really happy for Violet Defense and everybody on the team,” Keselowski said. “We are pushing and getting better. It was a solid day all day. I am really looking forward to Martinsville.”
Keselowski has won at least one Cup Series race in each of the last 11 seasons.
Entering Martinsville, the second-to-last stop on the 2022 schedule, Keselowski’s last victory came at Talladega Superspeedway in April 2021, 60 races ago.
