Brandon McReynolds quickest in opening ARCA practice at Daytona

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The first practice in preparation of Saturday’s Lucas Oil 200 concluded Thursday afternoon at Daytona International Speedway.

Brandon McReynolds, son of former NASCAR crew chief Larry McReynolds, posted the fastest lap time of 49.377 seconds (182.271 mph.). Todd Gilland was second (50.17 seconds) followed by Gus Dean in third (49.43 seconds).

“We have a really good KBR Development Toyota and I’m really looking forward to the race,” said McReynolds who is in search of his second career ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards.

Saturday’s Lucas Oil 200 driven by General Tire is slated for Saturday, February 9th with the green flag expected to fall at 4:30 p.m. The event will be broadcasted live on FS1.
