Brown emerges from Talladega darkness with first NASCAR XFINITY win

Brandon Brown earned his first career NASCAR XFINITY Series win in Saturday’s Sparks Energy 300 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Brown energetically celebrated in the darkness after edging out Brandon Jones and Justin Allgaier at the time of a Lap 103 caution for a wreck involving playoff drivers Harrison Burton, Riley Herbst and Jeb Burton – and others – in Turn 3.
Brown won in his 114th career NASCAR XFINITY Series start, driving for his family-owned No. 68 Brandonbilt Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro.
“Oh my gosh this is a dream come true! Dad, we did it, let’s go!” Brown exclaimed. “This is everything we hoped and dreamed for, everything we ever wanted to do was take the trophy home to mom.”
The Top 10 finishers are as follows: Brandon Brown, Brandon Jones, Justin Allgaier, Daniel Hemric, Justin Anderson, Justin Haley, Jeb Burton, Austin Cindric, Josh Berry, Joe Graf Jr.
