Bubba Wallace signs multi-year contract renewal with 23XI Racing

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Bubba Wallace has signed a multi-year contract renewal that will see him remain at 23XI Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series for 2025 and beyond.
The organization, co-owned by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin, made the announcement Wednesday.
“From day one Bubba has been an integral part of 23XI. We’re excited to announce that he has signed a multi-year renewal and will continue to play a key role in helping 23XI grow and succeed,” the announcement read.

Wallace will continue to drive the No. 23 Toyota Camry that he has wheeled to two wins, 18 Top-5 finishes, 33 Top-10s and three poles in 135 starts, dating back to the start of the 2021 season. He made the playoffs last year but a slew of surprise winners pushed him out of a spot this year.
His contract renewal reportedly took longer than expected due to negotiations of the new Cup Series charter agreement. 23XI Racing decided against signing the new agreement by the Sept. 6 deadline NASCAR imposed on them. Front Row Motorsports also didn’t sign that deal, reports indicate.
Wallace’s signing indicates there may be a change in temperature on what has been heated discussions and rhetoric. However, 23XI Racing hasn’t publicly said anything besides that their statement on the Sept. 6 deadline.
