Nick Sanchez to race Xfinity full-time in 2025

WELCOME, N.C. — Another NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver is moving up as Nick Sanchez will race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series full-time next season.
Sanchez will race for Big Machine Racing in 2025. He will take over the No. 48 Chevrolet entry that Parker Kligerman will vacate at the end of the season.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join Big Machine Racing with Chevrolet next year in the Xfinity Series,” Sanchez said in a news release issued Wednesday. “I’m grateful to get the opportunity to work with Scott Borchetta, Patrick Donahue, and the whole Big Machine team next year. As a driver, I feel that I’m ready to move to the next level and I look forward to competing for wins and ultimately a championship next year!”

Patrick Donahue will return as crew chief for the No. 48 team next season. Sanchez’s current primary sponsor Gainbridge will serve as an associate sponsor in his return to the Scott Borchetta-owned organization.
As Sanchez was closing out his ARCA Menards Series championship season in 2022, he made six Xfinity Series starts for Big Machine Racing. He earned four finishes of 12th or better, including a seventh-place finish at Martinsville.
“In 2022, we put Nick in our car for a handful of races and he was fast right out of the gate,” Borchetta said. “At Martinsville in particular, I watched him go full-on, elbows out, putting the car right where it needed to be, with no fear against the best-of-the-best in the series. Since then, he’s done a fantastic job in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.”

Racing full-time this season and last for REV Racing in the Craftsman Truck Series, he has earned two wins, 10 Top-5 finishes, 23 Top-10s and seven poles in 40 starts with a pair of playoff appearances, an overall average finish of 11.3, and 381 of 5,935 laps led.
Sanchez sits fourth in the Craftsman Truck Series points standings after starting the playoffs in fourth.
Sanchez is one of three Truck playoff drivers moving to the Xfinity Series in 2025. Christian Eckes and Daniel Dye will race full-time for Kaulig Racing next season.
