Championship 4 contender Ty Majeski to lead Truck field to green

AVONDALE, Ariz. — Wisconsin’s Ty Majeski will lead the field to the green flag Friday at Phoenix Raceway as he chases his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship.
Majeski earned his sixth pole of the 2024 season, averaging 138.18 MPH in his pole-winning lap.
Championship 4 competitor Corey Heim will share the front row with him. The other championship contenders, Grant Enfinger and Christian Eckes, will start fourth and fifth, respectively.
Going into the championship race, Eckes leads the championship drivers in every stat except for average start and wins. Majeski has the best average start and Heim has the most wins this season. Combined with being fourth in practice among the championship drivers and Eckes may face some challenges.
In third, Stewart Friesen qualified the best of any of the non-Championship 4 drivers.
Dean Thompson, Nick Sanchez, Connor Mosack, Kaden Honeycutt and Chase Purdy rounded out the top-10 starters in sixth through 10th, respectively.
Lawless Alan crashed in qualifying and will start in the rear of the field. His team will either need to repair the truck or go to a backup truck.
