Chase Briscoe joins Bowman, Petty, SVG on NSACAR wins list
Chase Briscoe’s photo finish over Christopher Bell in the Bank of America 400 Sunday earned the Joe Gibbs Racing driver his third win of 2026 and the eighth of his NASCAR Cup Series career.
Briscoe is now tied with Alex Bowman, Kyle Petty, and Shane Van Gisbergen for 71st all-time on the series’ wins list.
“Anytime you can win a Cup race it’s a big deal,” Briscoe said of his win post-race to the media. “When you look at the list of guys that have won one, there’s some incredible race car drivers and even incredible race car drivers that have never won a Cup race, and to be able to do it eight times now, honestly I can’t express how thankful I am for Joe Gibbs honestly taking a chance on me.
“When he signed me I had one career Cup win, and there was obviously a ton of question marks about what my potential was. For him to take a chance on me and to be able to drive this car, it’s just a privilege, honestly.”
Briscoe has now won back-to-back races, a first in his career.
Directly ahead of the four drivers at nine victories are Paul Goldsmith, Cotton Owens, and Bob Welborn.
