Clean sweep: Christopher Bell takes wins at New Hampshire
Christopher Bell capped off the NASCAR weekend by winning the USA Today 301 Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
For Bell, it was his second win of the weekend, triumphing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race a day prior.
Bell was 10th with 82 laps to go, during a more than two-hour delay for inclement weather, but ultimately propelled back to lead the final 64 laps and a race high 149 circuits.
“It was just so fun to get to experience that, run a whatever it was, 80 laps in wet tires and wet, damp conditions,” Bell said.
“Yeah, just a lot of fun. That was so much fun.”
The win Sunday was Bell’s ninth of his career and the third of 2024, matching the most he’s posted in a single season. Bell scored three victories in 2022.
“What sucks is looking back at the races that have slipped away so far in this year,” Bell said. “You look at COTA. You look at Richmond.
“I mean, those are the two that really come to mind. It’s pretty easy to start stacking the wins up, right?”
Bell, William Byron, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson lead the Cup Series with the most victories thus far in 2024.
