The defending series champion will drive the No. 5 Toyota for Tricon Garage with sponsorship from Frontline Enterprises.

Heim has previously won at North Wilkesboro before in the Truck Series. He won there in 2024, and came close again last year before a last lap incident with Layne Riggs.

Despite only running five races in trucks this year, Heim sits 12th in points. He’s won three of those races at Darlington, Rockingham, and Michigan. If he’s able to win again this weekend, he’ll be one win away from tying Mike Skinner and Jack Sprague for third on the all-time wins list in the Truck Series.

Heim running the No. 5 truck could also be a boost to towards that truck in the owner points standings. The truck sits 16th in the owners standings, 55 points below the cutoff with four races until the Chase.

A win this week could put the entry in striking distance of making the Chase. Heim mentioned during his media bullpen at Chicagoland that he could run more Truck races depending on the owners Chase.

The No. 1 entry sits third in owner points and could have a chance to win the owners championship. If the No. 5 gets into the owners Chase, Tricon could have four trucks out of 10 racing for an owners championship.

Heim also isn’t the only notable driver competing in both CARS Tour races this weekend. He’ll be joining others such as Chase Elliott in running them.

Heim will be a force to be reckoned with in the Truck Series at North Wilkesboro for the FaithFest 250 on Saturday, July 18.
