Dale Earnhardt Jr. to enter NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will make his annual appearance in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this September at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Dale Jr. will race the No. 88 Hellmann’s Chevrolet in the Food City 300, September 20 at Bristol (7:30 p.m. ET; USA, PRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90).
2024 will mark the 28th Xfinity Series season where Jr. has made at least one start. Dating back to 1996, 2000 – his Cup rookie season – was the only season he didn’t make a start in the Xfinity Series.

Since Jr. retired from the NASCAR Cup Series in 2017, he has made seven starts – 1 start each from 2018-22 and two starts last year.
Last September at Bristol, Jr. led 47 laps and was in contention to win with 80 laps to go before an ignition issue took him out of the race in fiery fashion after 271 laps.
Jr. backed up his Bristol run with a fifth-place finish at Homestead-Miami Speedway the next month.
Jr. will have support from longtime sponsor Hellmann’s. JR Motorsports also announced they extended their partnership with them through 2026.
Not only will Hellmann’s sponsor Dale Earnhardt Jr. but they will also sponsor Justin Allgaier in six races this season.
The JRM-Hellmann’s partnership first began in 2009 and is the longest partnership JRM has.
