Erik Jones released from local hospital after Talladega wreck
TALLADEGA, Ala. — Erik Jones was released from a local hospital after a hard wreck in turn three Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway.

On lap 151 of 188, Jones hit the wall almost head-on. As the car came to rest, Jones was in pain over the radio.
After a tense few minutes, Jones got out of the car and went to the ambulance. The wrecker followed with his car, taking it back to the garage as Jones went to the infield care center.
Jones was checked and released from the care center. He said, “I’m a little sore but I’ll be alright.”
About an hour after the race wrapped up, NASCAR officials reported Jones returned to the care center and was taken to a local hospital.
Around 11:30 p.m. CT, Legacy Motor Club issued a statement stating doctors treated and released Jones from the hospital. He is now heading back home to North Carolina.
We will keep you posted on Jones’ status for the upcoming race at Dover.
