Garrett Smithley making 300th combined NASCAR start at Dover
DOVER, Del. — Garrett Smithley will be making his 300th combined start in NASCARs top three series’ in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Bet Rivers 200 at Dover in the No. 0 Chevrolet for SS-Green Light Racing with BRK Racing.

The 34-year-old veteran from Ligonier, Pa. has 11 prior starts in the series at Dover Motor Speedway dating back to 2016. Now, he will make his 300th start in 30th at the track he attended when he was a child.
His best finish in these starts was a 23rd he scored twice. Both were for JD Motorsports in the 2018 fall race and 2019 spring race.
He also has four starts at the track in the NASCAR Cup Series with two starts for Tommy Baldwin Racing and Rick Ware Racing each. His best finish was in 2021. A 32nd place finish, 17 laps down in the No. 53 Chevrolet for Rick Ware Racing.
Smithley in 2026
This season, SS-Green Light Racing switched the teams No. 14 to the 0 as a throwback to Smithley’s first season in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. 2026 marks the 10 year anniversary of his first season in the series when he ran the number for JD Motorsports.
Smithley is also splitting the car with road racer Alex Labbe and NASCAR Cup Series veteran and 2023 O’Reilly Series champion Cole Custer. Smithley today will make his 10th start on the season.
To add up to the 300 starts going back to his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start, Smithley has 10 starts in the trucks, 76 starts in the Cup Series, and his start today will make it 214 starts in the O’Reilly Series.
Today is also not the only milestone for the No. 0 team as the paint scheme Smithley is driving will be the 100th time a design from Jordan Tiegs Designs will hit the track as well.
The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series will race at Dover for the BetRivers 200 at 4 p.m. ET on the CW.
