Gray Gaulding will continue to compete for team owner Ron Devine in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, the driver confirmed to The Racing Experts.

The 20-year-old driver will be competing in his second full-time season in NASCAR’s premier series.

“They (BK Racing) plan on me for running a full season,” Gaulding said. “Short term, long term, whatever you call it, but I’ll be in the No. 23 car when we get to Atlanta.”

At the beginning of the season, it was unclear if BK Racing, Gaulding’s current team, would compete in 2018 after it was first reported by ESPN the team had filed bankruptcy just prior to the Daytona 500.

2018 is Gaulding’s third year competing in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Gaulding has competed with BK Racing and Premium Motorsports the last two seasons, netting a ninth-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway last October with BK Racing.

Gaulding avoided getting tangled up in the mayhem at Daytona International Speedway Sunday to earn a 20th-place finish.
