NASCAR: Denny Hamlin wins Firekeepers Casino 400 at Michigan
Denny Hamlin scored his third win of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season and 63rd of his career Sunday in the Firekeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

Hamlin tied his former Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, the late Kyle Busch, for ninth all-time on the series’ wins list.
Erik Jones, Bubba Wallace, Kyle Larson and Carson Hocevar rounded out the Top-5 finishers.

Lap 195: Hamlin’s lead is nearly 10 seconds over Hocevar in second.
Lap 183: Hamlin’s lead has stretched to over 4 seconds over Suarez and Wallace
Lap 162: Denny Hamlin to the lead over Hocevar and Suarez.
Lap 161: Back to green with Suarez and Byron on the front row.
Lap 154: Caution for a wreck involving Stenhouse, Hill, Gragson, McDowell, Berry, T. Dillon, Ware, SVG, and Preece. Suarez the leader.
Lap 153: Byron and Suarez lead the field back to the green.
Lap 150: Race has resumed to caution status after the red flag lasted around 20 minutes.
Race is currently in a red flag condition as crews repair the outside wall where Bell made impact.
Lap 149: Yellow flag for a Chase Elliott and Christopher Bell wreck in Turn 3. Both cars are destroyed. They were battling for second. Elliott got loose underneath Bell, and both made contact. Bell hit the outside wall while Elliott spun and made contact with the inside retaining wall.
Lap 148: Byron and Bell lead the field back to the green.
Lap 143: Caution! Zane Smith is in the outside retaining wall. He spun and hit driver’s side into the wall.
Lap 126: Chase Elliott and William Byron lead the field back to the green flag.
Lap 120: Chase Elliott wins Stage 2. 2-10: Jones, Suarez, Larson, Byron, Bell, Hocevar, Hamlin, Logano, Smith

Lap 112: Elliott, Suarez and Larson the top-3.
Lap 96: Wallace back to the lead.
Lap 95: Elliott to the lead over Wallace and Larson.
Lap 94: Back to green with Larson and Elliott again on the front row.
Lap 90: Brad Keselowski thinks he broke a right-rear toe link, hitting the outside retaining wall in Turn 2. Nemechek appeared to tag Keselowski.
Lap 90: Back to green with Larson and Elliott at the top.
Lap 83: Larson and Elliott lead the field back to the green but a big crash ensues! Hamlin, Gibbs, Reddick all involved.
Lap 78: A.J. Allmendinger spins off of Turn 2, does not hit anything as he spins onto the apron. Caution.
Lap 71: Larson and Elliott lead the field back to the green.
Lap 65: Keselowski with an issue brings out the caution.
Lap 59: Hocevar back to the lead.
Lap 53: Wallace to the lead.
Lap 51: Gibbs and Wallace lead the field back to the green for Stage 2.
Lap 45: points leader Tyler Reddick wins Stage 1. 2-10: Gibbs, Hocevar, Elliott, Wallace, Smith, Larson, Buescher, Herbst, Suarez.
Lap 27: Reddick, Gibbs, Hocevar the Top-3.
Lap 15: Back to green. Reddick to the lead.
Lap 9: Zilisch spins off Turn 2 and smashes the inside retaining wall with the front of the No. 88. Caution is out.
Lap 8: Hocevar in the lead with Reddick, Gibbs and Elliott in pursuit.
Lap 7: Green flag is back out.
Lap 3: Connor Zilisch spins and the right-rear quarter panel makes contact with the outside retaining wall. Caution. This is his third straight week with on-track incidents.
Lap 2: Carson Hocevar leads lap 1 over Tyler Reddick.
3:21 p.m. ET: Green flag is out!
3:18 p.m. ET: drivers are pacing around the 2-mile racetrack.
3:12 p.m. ET: Engines fired!
3 p.m. ET: Pre-race ceremonies including the Canadian and U.S. National Anthems.
