Iowa Speedway Cup race sold out for third consecutive year
Iowa Speedway has announced another sold-out crowd for the NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday.

The mid-west fan base comes through once again. This is the track’s third consecutive sellout since the track held its inaugural Cup race in 2024.
This is the 10th Cup race to sell out in 2026. The track holds 30,000 seats in the grandstands, and fans from all around the country will fill it completely after an off week.
The sellout announcement also comes amid plans to upgrade the facility for 2027. Shortly after the end of the Cup race, the track will receive a full repave. Fan amenities will also receive upgrades. A livestream of the repave will also be available on the track’s website.
In addition, Iowa will take over the 4th of July weekend for the 2027 schedule. The Cup race will be held on July 4, while the ARCA Menards Series and O’Reilly Series will return again too.
With the number of sellouts this season, 2026 could end up with the most track sellouts in the post-Covid era if the trend continues.
Race fans have also shown that they want Iowa to be on the Cup schedule for the long term.
Currently, four races remain until the Chase starts. The Iowa Corn 350 powered by Ethanol kicks off the final four race stretch. The Cup Series race starts at 3:30 PM EST and will kick off NBC/USA’s portion of the broadcast schedule.
