GMS Racing announced Thursday that Jack Wood has been signed to race full-time for the 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.

Wood, 21, will compete full-time in the No. 24 Chevrolet Silverado with primary backing from Chevrolet.

“I feel extremely honored to be asked to drive for GMS Racing again next year, we have built a lot of momentum over the last few months and I feel strongly that next season will be a very successful one,” Wood remarked. “There has been plenty of learning and groundwork built in order to do just that.”

Wood has made seven NCWTS starts and will run the final six races, all with GMS Racing.

Wood was scheduled to run the ARCA Menards Series full-time with GMS Racing this season. However, he assumed the NCWTS ride in May after Raphael Lessard’s funding fell through.

Wood has scored one Top 10 NCWTS finish, which came last Friday at Gateway. He has four Top 10 finishes in seven ARCA series, including a career-best fourth-place finish at Kansas Speedway.
