Jeremy Clements Racing utilizing Ganassi cars in 2019

Jeremy Clements and his Xfinity Series team added racecars from the Chip Ganassi Racing stable, the owner-driver confirmed to The Racing Experts.
Clements did not specify when the cars were purchased, however, estimated the count around four cars.
The Atlanta race weekend was the first time his team used a racecar purchased from the now-defunct CGR stable.
“Running 19th sucks,” Clements said of his Atlanta race. “We should have run top-15 easily.”
“The problem is, just getting them put together, it’s taking a lot of time, we got them late in the game.”
Clements said the plan is to use CGR cars at Las Vegas, Phoenix and hopefully California.
“It’s just taking us some time to get a hold of them,” Clements said. “It’s going to take a little learning, but hopefully we’ll figure them out.”
The cars are using the same engines JCR has utilized in the past.
Two races into the 2019 season, Clements sits 25th in driver’s points, 40 points behind the playoff cutline. Clements, who made the playoffs in 2017, gave his outlook for the three-race west coast swing.
“I think we’ll be fast, should be able to run top-15 every race, I don’t see no reason why we couldn’t,” he said. “If we get it really good, we should be top-10 for sure. We’ve got the speed, just got to figure how to keep it on the long run.”
