Jeffrey Earnhardt lands Xfinity ride at Joe Gibbs Racing

AVONDALE, Ariz. — Jeffrey Earnhardt, grandson of NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt, will run nine NASCAR Xfinity Series races with Joe Gibbs Racing next year.
Earnhardt will make his debut with the team in the season at Daytona International Speedway next February. Earnhardt’s new sponsor, Xtreme Concepts Inc., is a leader in supplying turnkey security solutions. The company provides training and technology integration into the United States government, military, and many commercial companies.
“I’ve worked incredibly hard for this opportunity and I’ve got to thank Xtreme Concepts for making it happen,” said Earnhardt, who has always had a tremendous amount of support to the military and veterans. “You see the level of expertise Joe Gibbs Racing has and the caliber of equipment they bring to the racetrack every week. As a driver, it’s exactly where you want to be. It’s the best opportunity I’ve had in my career and I plan to make the most of it.”
Earnhardt has over 150 starts across NASCAR’s top three series. This will be the first time Earnhardt will compete in a team capable of winning. The team said that Earnhardt’s exact schedule will be released prior to the start of the 2019 schedule.
